KL's LCCT Airport surprised me.  For a budget terminal, I was expecting something like NAIA Terminal 4, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The airport was BIG and can actually compete with the regular airports in Manila.  In fact, it looks even  better than NAIA Terminal 1.  Alighting from the plane, you have to go through a covered walkway to the Arrivals Area.  The arrivals area is ok, although two complaints that I have would be the gloomy lighting and the women's lavatory... it STINKS!  It smells as if 1 ton of danggit was stored inside.  I'm not sure if it's just bad timing but I really hope the maintenance folks would do something about the smell.

Immigration process was a breeze in Malaysia.  The immigration folks are nice and do not ask questions.  They do not power trip nor do they make you feel like a criminal.  They just get your passport, scan it, then ask you to place your fingertips on this censor, and you're done!

Anyway, one thing about the airport that I liked was that there were a lot of telecoms carrier offering free local simcards. provided that you buy some of their prepaid plans.  My friend Angel got one of the sim cards and bought the 3 days unlimited data plan for around 40MYR... not bad, considering that the data speed was good.  Also, there were a lot of shops and restaurants inside the airport, so there are a lot of things to keep you busy while waiting for your flight.

The airport is FAR from the city and I am thankful that there are a lot of transportation options available  in the airport.  There are shuttle services, taxis, buses, trains, private cars, etc.  My friends and I opted for the Fast train, which was cheap, convenient, and fast.  For 22MYR, you get a round trip ticket for the shuttle bus that will take you to the Salak Tinggi Train Station and for the train ride that will take you to the KL Sentral Station.

Now, on with the pics!

Mandatory shot when we got off the plane.  We were actually chased off by one of the airport personnel after this.

The covered walkway that would take us to the arrivals area.

The VERY stinky restroom!

Kid's store after the immigration section

Sony!  Free sim card offerings!

Money changer.  One tip is that you get more value for your money at the airport.  If you can, have your foreign currency exchanged at the airport because money changers in the city buys them for A LOT less.

Duty free!

Baggage reclaim area.

Different transportation options for going to the city.  We opted for the fast train, which was fast and convenient.

Gloomy area near the exit.

Exit to the outside world!  Welcome to KL! :)

We ate here at Marrybrown, food not that good.

Outside the airport, taxi lane.

Salak Tinggi Train Station.  That train is FAST!  Seriously.

Overall, the experience at KL's LCCT was good. The airport was convenient, comfy and nice so I would have to commend the Malaysia government for giving this budget airport a not-so-budget feel.

I never thought I'd be doing a best dressed list so soon but there were just too many lovely gowns in Cannes for me to resist. So here you go!

Doetzen Kroes in Atelier Versace- I did not know who this girl is but I think that her overall look for Cannes was absolutely gorgeous.  I love the blush colored sparkly gown and the matching shoes.  She is sexy as hell and the only complaint that I have would be the dark roots.  This is my favorite look for the night.

Cindy Crawford in Robert Cavalli - Now this is a supermodel I know.  One of the original supermodels, this woman seems to have an unlimited access to the Fountain of Youth.  She's still beautiful and sexy and the white and gold gown shows that to perfection.

Freida Pinto in Gucci -  Gorgeous goddess look!  The pink and gold look perfectly complements her dark skin.  And the shoes!  Saw the close up shots of her gold shoes and I thought they perfectly matched her whole ensemble.

Jessica Biel in Marchesa - Her gown is a bit unusual but what made me like this look was how perfect the gown and snake necklace look together.  Throw in the flawless hair and makeup, and you've got a winner in my book!

Fan Bingbing in Louis Vuitton - I love the gown's color and the embellishments.  Her big waves and make up goes well with the overall look.  I also thought that the longish train added a dramatic flair.

Isla Fisher in Oscar De la Renta - This is the signature Oscar De la Renta look for this year, princessy with 'that' type of detailing on the skirt.  Isla looks good in red and her jewelry added a quirky touch to her overall look.

Nicole Kidman in Dior Haut Couture - Not too crazy about the shoes but the gown is divine.  Nicole looks flawless as usual.

Nicole Kidman Jury Photo Call - Not sure who designed the dress but Nicole looks trim and lovely as usual.

Cara Delevingne in Burberry (what else?) - Not too crazy about how she always seems to be working those eyes and lips (completely unnatural for me and she looks absolutely the same in all her pictures!) but this gown is glamour defined.  Combine that with all her diamonds and sultry makeup and we have one divine look!

Eva Longoria in Atelier Versace - This girl is tiny and I thought that this gown would be better served by a taller girl.  But since this is in my favorite color for the season, I had to put this on my list.

It took a loooooong while before I got to post this because I was both busy and lazy.  I have thought of just skipping the whole thing altogether, but then again, if I had wasted energy on the Grammys, then by principle, I should not miss this entry.

Well anyway, it's just a short list.  Although I thought that a lot of the dresses were nice, I guess they didn't have the ooomph factor of the ladies below.  Enjoy!

Catherine Zeta-Jones in Zuhair Murad - She is literally and figuratively the Golden Girl of the night in my eyes.  That gold, sparkly gown was just FABULOUS, and coupled with the flawless hair and makeup, and those blings, the overall result was a very GORGEOUS and GLAMOROUS Catherine.  Damn, but she's magnificent!

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Couture - In contrast to Catherine, I thought that Jennifer's look was sweet and innocent.  I know that her gown drew comparisons to a wedding dress but I couldn't care less.  Jennifer looked darn good and that's the end to it.  And I loved her hairdo too.  I have actually been rooting for this girl for the best actress trophy, and I was sooooo happy she won.  I just love her so much because she's so adorable.

Amy Adams in Oscar De la Renta - Very princessy look for the night.  I'm not a big fan of the color but I still think that Amy looked good in the dress.

Jessica Chastain in Armani Prive - Very old Hollywood glam.  The color perfectly compliments her skin tone and the red lipstick just sets off the whole look.  For me, this awards season, Jessica was the most consistent.  I think I have her included on all of my best dressed list.

Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen - The gown that caused Anne Hathaway to wear that atrocious dress from Prada.  Well anyway, I love the details on this dress and the halter neckline shows off Amanda's arms and shoulders nicely.  But then again, not a big fan of this particular color.

Nicole Kidman in L'Wren Scott - This dress looked like it was poured on Nicole and has not completely dried yet... but I loved it!!!!  Next to Catherine Zeta-Jones's dress, this is my favorite.  Amazingly unique and shows off Nicole's curves in a classy way.  I also love the gold embellishments on the dress.  Super loved this dress!

Jennifer Garner in Gucci - Very simple dress (at least at the front) but the color is perfect for Jennifer and it fits her quite nicely too.  Her hair and accessories perfectly complemented the dress.
